TTA constructs and maintains a vast network of recreational trails, on land that is leased from the Kenai Peninsula Borough and adjacent to the City of Soldotna. TTA intends to use the grant to build four miles of ski, skijour, snowshoe and single-track trails at TTA trails south of Isaak Road. In a letter to the council from City Manager Stephanie Queen, “it is in the best interest of the City of Soldotna, to support the TTA’s application for the current year’s funding opportunity, to further enhance this valuable community resource that benefits our residents and their recreational and health goals.” The Soldotna City Council will look at a resolution during their meeting on Wednesday supporting the grant application.last_img
